Use Mirata Offline: Snooze Mode

Use Mirata Offline: Snooze Mode

Your mobile device can run the Mirata app with or without network coverage using the Offline Snooze concept. This feature is made available automatically in the Mirata iOS, Android, and Windows Apps.

How it Works

The Mirata offline client allows the user to go temporarily offline for a set period of time. While using the Mirata app, the user will see a green cloud icon in the top left corner while the device has a network connection. If the device loses connection, the next time the user initiates a transition (save, create, delete, submit, etc.) they will be presented with a pop notifying them that there is no connection detected and the cloud icon will change from green to red.

The user can select how long they’d like the Mirata app to wait until it automatically tries to reconnect. The options are either 1 hour or 2 hours to “snooze” the connection attempts - there is no way to close the pop up box without selecting a time limit or to retry connection. Once the user selects either 1 or 2 hours to snooze, the app will move into offline mode and the user can continue using the Mirata app.

If the user clicks “retry connection”, the app will check the connection again. If it does get a connection the pop up box will close and the cloud icon in the top right corner will change to green. If it does not get a connection, the pop up box will remain saying no connection detected.

If the user wants to manually attempt connection at any point in time while the app is in offline mode, they can click the red cloud icon in the top right corner and the same connection status pop up window will be shown letting the user know the time when the app will try to reconnect (in the device’s timezone). Instead of waiting out the time, they can click “retry connection”.

As the user works offline, their transactions are stored locally in the Mirata app. A red cloud with an arrow denotes when there is no connection and there are pending changes stored locally. Once the app reconnects, all stored transactions will execute in the order that they were received.

Decoding your Connection Status

The following icons will appear in the top right corner of the Mirata app to denote connection status:

Green Cloud - Mirata App has network connection

Red Cloud - No network connection

Red Cloud with Arrow - No network connection and there are locally saved changes that have not been sent to the cloud
