Inbox Overview

Welcome to the Mirata Web Inbox, a browser-based platform designed to empower form users with seamless access to forms created in the Designer. Modeled after an email inbox, the Web Inbox ensures a user-centric experience, where the form's current assignment determines who sees it in their Inbox.

You can also use forms via the Mirata Mobile App on iOS, Android, or Windows portable devices or embedded in other apps such as SAP Asset Manager, ensuring a seamless user experience. This article focuses only on the Mirata Web Inbox.

Making Changes in the Designer and then Testing in the Web Inbox

The Mirata Web Inbox will always use the most recent version it has for the form when creating a new form submission. It will use the version of the associated workflow which is tied to the form at the time the form submission is created. View which workflow version is associated with a form in the Admin Tool.

For more information on saving forms and workflows in the Designer, go to the “Save Form” and “Save Workflow” sections of the Form Designer Overview and Workflow Designer Overview articles

Form designers will need to follow the below process when editing and then testing forms in development or QA Mirata environments. Form users in production Mirata environments do not need to be aware of this process.

Detailed steps:

  1. In the Workflow Designer, save changes to the workflow (if you made changes to your workflow).
  2. In the Form Designer, save changes to the form.
  3. In the Web Inbox, refresh the page using your browser’s refresh button, not the refresh button within the Mirata Inbox from #1c above in the Inbox Layout section. (If you do not do this refresh after saving changes in the Designer and before creating a new form submission in the Inbox, then the new submission will be created using an older version of the form.)

Any form submissions which were already created in the Inbox before you saved new changes in the Designer will not be affected by the form’s changes. They will still use the version of the form which was most recent when the submission was created.
